On the opening day of the conference on Oct 03rd, 2017 there will be three buses at the Macedonia airport on 11:00, 13:00 and 15:00 to pick you up. At the Macedonia airport exit, there will be an authorized person of PWP to lead you to the bus. Naturally, the departure hours of the bus will change according to the aggregated submitted requests. When leaving, your transfer from the venue to the airport will be organized in the same manner. Therefore, complete this table with the date and time of your arrival and departure.

The same procedure will be followed for the departure and it will be announced in time after your statements and well before the opening of the conference.

For those who arrive in Thessaloniki, and want to move on their own:

The cost of transportation from the Thessaloniki’s airport (I’ntl IATA code SKG), titled “Macedonia”, to the central bus station of Thessaloniki, also titled “Macedonia”, by taxi for 1-4 persons is 30 € per ride (for two persons, it’s 20 per person). From the bus station, you can take the bus to Katerini city (10 € per per person, one way) that lasts approx. one hour. Then you can take a taxi (15-18 € per ride for 1-4 persons) to venue.

Alternatively, you can get a taxi directly from the airport to the venue. For your convenience and for 1-4 people you can pre-book a taxi that costs approx. 80 € (per ride, one way) in order to reach the venue (Mediterranean Village). For taxi bookings contact agapiika@hotmail.com or call  +306936913893. Do not forget to mention your name, arrival time and the flight number.

B.From Athens

You can use the airport ‘Eleftherios Venizelos” of Athens (I’ntl IATA code ATH) to get to Thessaloniki’s airport.

For those who arrive via Athens and want to experience the Greek mainland they can take the train from Athens city to Katerini city. From there you can take a taxi to get directly to the hotel. The cost is 15-18 € for 1-4 persons per ride, one way. Departure can also be organised in the inverse manner.

C.The visit to Greece is a challenge. We recommend the following:

In October and especially in the congress period the weather is hot and people enjoy the sun and the sea. You can stay more days at the Venue (before or after the conference) with the same hotel prices.

You can also stay in Athens and Thessaloniki in order to visit all the amazing places these cities offer. Especially, your visit to Thessaloniki can be combined with a trip to Vergina which is famous for the findings from the tombs of the Macedonian dynasty, including Philip the second, father of Alexander the Great.

For your convenience you may contact the following agency for all matters relating: information, ticket, hotel accommodation or rent a car. The hotel booking and the congress fees are not included:
