The 12th International Conference on Artificial Intelligence Applications and Innovations (AIAI 2016) will be holding a number of Special Sessions additional to the main conference. Special Sessions should be focused on special, novel, broad and challenging research topics and should attract the interest of researchers in quite broad areas of Artificial Intelligence related to the main topics of AIAI 2016.

The organizing committee of the 12th International Conference on Artificial Intelligence Applications and Innovations (AIAI 2016) invites proposals for Special Sessions to be held during the conference. Special Sessions, organized by international recognized experts, are intended to provide researchers in focused, novel and emerging areas, the opportunity to present and discuss their work. Special Session offer also a forum for interaction among a broad community of researchers. A Special Session will consist of a group of papers in a sub-discipline of Artificial Intelligence related to the main topics of AIAI 2016.

Papers submitted to Special Session will be required to meet the same standards as AIAI 2016 papers and will be published in the conference proceedings, in a bound volume by Springer-Verlag in their IFIP AICT series. All the Special Sessions will be centralized as tracks in the main conference.

Please send the Special Session proposals to Prof. Giacomo Boracchi giacomo.boracchi@polimi.it with the following information:

 

•       Title & acronym of the special session
•       Name and Affiliations of the Special Session organizers
•       Brief description of the scope and motivation
•       List of topics
•       Relevance for AIAI
•       Sort biosketch of the Special Session organizers
•       Technical Committee of the Special Session (to be invited)

 

The Special Session organizers will be responsible for the advertisement and promotion of the Special Session and the conference, including the Special Session webpage preparation. The management of papers review will be achieved by Special Session Committees, using the Conference System (a separate EasyChair track will be provided for each Special Session). All the reviews should be submitted through EasyChair and each paper
should obtain at least three reviews. The acceptance ratio will be 40-50%.
